Preparation for procedure:

1. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight, other small sips of water with your medication, prior to the procedure unless instructed by your doctor.

2. Depending on your other medical conditions you will often be discharged the same day as the procedure.

3. Do not get the area at the incision site wet for at least 24 hours and do not submerge it (no bathing or swimming) until being examined by your physician.
